Hello KLP readers! I'm Kelly and I'm super excited that Kristine asked me to join in on the fun of this Decorating with Portrait series. I blog over at Live Laugh Rowe, where I share DIY projects, recipes, and some of life's moments.... I woud {love} for you to swing by sometime. If you see a slight resemblance between myself and Kristine (the photographer behind Kristine Lynn Photography), you're not seeing things {giggle}. We're identical twins! I'm super fortunate to have such a talented sister -- plus I get lots of great pics to display around my home. I've chosen to share two of my spaces where I've displayed portraits. Let's start with my stairway.
This project was not something that took a day or two. I gathered frames over the course of time and slowly searched for the pictures that I wanted to use. Then came figuring out which picture would go in what frame -- and, FINALLY, displaying them on the wall. My husband and I tag teamed on this project and we agreed that the black and white prints were the perfect touch. There is one picture that is not in black and white, but has the old picture look to it. If you can see that picture, it's the one of my mom pregnant with my sister and I. I {love} this wall. It represents our families. Brothers, sisters, parents, grandparents and our furry friends.
Now let's take a quick peek into our master bedroom. We don't have children, so we used portraits of us above our bed in these fabulous Organic Bloom Frames. I {smile} when I look up at these photos. Photographs are a way to capture a moment, and I can remember those moments so vividly.
Portraits are a great way to surround yourself with the people you love,
the places you've seen and those special moments captured on camera....

DeleteI LOVE them! The stairs are fabulous and I love the frames above your PRETTY bed! Kids or no kids...they say it's the best dynamic to keep ONLY photos of you and your spouse in your bedroom! It keeps it the romantic place in your house :) the rest of the house is for the whole family!
