I just had to share with you some photos from the
photography 101 class that KLP had last Sunday (3.11) We were small in numbers, but mighty in
enthusiasm! I was thrilled that the first
class was smaller because it allowed me to see how the "live
shooting" would work and how to pace the schedule for future classes. Although the class is very basic in nature, to beginners, it's just
enough to walk away and feel empowered to learn their camera's better and feel
less intimidated to shoot on the manual mode.
To sum it up in three words.....informative, hands on and fun!! It was a GREAT experience for me as
well. As a photographer, I am used to evaluating lighting situations
and shooting on manual - it's part of who I am now, so it can be challenging to
break it down for others and force yourself to stop to think about it. So, in my mind...it was a WIN-WIN for
everyone. Thanks to all the ladies who
attended and Kelly - my fabulous session assistant who captured some of these
images for me. I'm proud of her for
attending and stretching herself to learn and maybe even take on manual
mode. I know several were disappointed
they couldn't make this class, but no worries....I'll be offering the class
again. So stay tuned!!! {smiles}

ReplyDeleteHow fun! I'd love to know about any future classes! I bought an entry-level DSLR last fall and I'll admit - I shoot in auto. :-/ I live in Troy and work in Lake St Louis!
